I am working towards a career as a web developer. Using online resources I have learned the basics of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I have been building on that knowledge and learning React, NextJS, and Tailwind. I’m also working on gaining a better understanding of the backend by exposing myself to NodeJS, SQL, and PHP. After creating a strong foundation in traditional web development, I’m interested in learning Solidity and Rust in order to apply those tools in web3 development. Python is also a universally recommend language and has found its way onto my todo list.

My professional experience has come in the healthcare field working as a Pharmacy Technician and a Registered Nurse. Working in healthcare highlighted the importance of functioning effectively in a team. The healthcare team is not limited to nurses and nursing assistants but includes doctors, therapists, patients, and the patient’s family members.

I was able to gain experience in a variety of settings during my time as a nurse. Whether it was caring for patients in their home or performing dialysis at various hospitals, time management was a necessary skill to master in order to provide quality care. Continuing education was also a crucial component to functioning as a competent nurse. These valuable skills and habits will carry over with me as I act on my desire to explore new challenges.
